A single IVA Edge device supports up to 8 cameras. This is sufficient for most typical installations — an apartment, private house, small office, or retail store.
In addition to the number of cameras, it is important to consider the total video stream throughput — it must not exceed 100 Mbit/s. This is the combined bitrate of all cameras connected to the device. For most scenarios with Full HD or 4MP cameras, this limit is more than sufficient.
If more than 8 cameras are installed on a site, or if the total bitrate exceeds the limit — use multiple IVA Edge devices within the same local network. All cameras from different adapters will be accessible through a single interface in the app.
